What Is FIT Strength & Conditioning?
FIT Strength & Conditioning is the Capital Region's premier fitness facility.  Our group program, Team Metabolic Resistance Training (MRT) is an incredible 45-minute group workout that blends strength training, cardio, mobility & flexibility, and core training to help our clients look, feel and perform their best.  

Workouts are different every day so that you never get bored, and you're guaranteed to receive the one-on-one attention of working with a certified personal trainer paired with the fun atmosphere and accountability that comes with our supportive and encouraging fitness community - the FIT Fam.  Each workout is carefully designed so that YOU can be successful and make YOUR goals a reality.

I'm a mother, a wife, I have a job, and I'm closer to 40 than I am to 30 (wow that's the first time I've written that down!! LOL). I feel like I can relate to many different people at many different places in their journey and the roadblocks that might prevent them from success.  First, I'm a product of FIT Strength.  I came in not in great shape and have completely transformed my life with the exact workouts and community that I now lead clients through.  This has also given me years of experience with the exercises, proper form and technique, and ways to modify for all levels.  Everyone has a story and that story influences their behavior. Not everyone is motivated by the same things.  I believe getting to know them the best that I can allows me to understand them and motivate them.  This also gives me equity with them when I ask them to lift something heavier or try something out of their comfort zone!
Stephen Zabala - FIT Strength Coach
I am a NASM certified trainer, nutrition coach, culinary nutrition specialist, I have a B.S. in Culinary Nutrition via Johnson & Wales University in Providence, RI. I have kettlebell, durability, and foundations certifications through the Onnit Academy. I am (Hatha/Vinyasa) yoga teacher certified through Yandara Yoga Institute, and I am constantly learning and evolving through my own routines, and practices. My focus is on FUNctional training, mobility, stability, and optimizing the human body through movement. I think exercise should be a balance of challenging, and fun. I believe in the connection of the mind and body, using that awareness to explore different patterns of movement, to express yourself, and push your limits beyond your comfort zone to achieve next level results. I love to connect movements and modalities together to create strength, and control through a variety of movement patterns. Come have some fun getting stronger with me!

Do You Have Showers?
We do not have showers, but we do have bathrooms / changing rooms and cubbies for your belongings if you need to get ready for work or change out of your work clothes.
How Much Does a Membership Cost?
Membership starts at $59 every 28 days.
I Am a Beginner, Can I Still Do This Program?
YES! ... Our program is designed so that people of ALL fitness levels can experience success, lose weight and feel their best. Our training staff will modify exercises and/or scale the workouts to meet your specific needs.
How Many Days Should I Attend Each Week?
We recommend that you attend a minimum of (3) sessions per week, in addition to following your personal meal plan.  For even better results, though, we recommend you workout with us 4X per week or more!
